DMCA policy
This page explains what DMCA WatchDog does — and doesn't do — when it comes to copyright and brand-protection takedown requests.
What DMCA WatchDog does
DMCA WatchDog monitors for copies of your content and impersonations of your brand, organizes what we find into clearly reviewed findings, and helps you prepare operational takedown packets — structured, well-evidenced requests you can send to hosts, platforms, and registrars.
Monitoring and evidence organization
Findings are gathered by automated scans and then reviewed by a person before being marked visible to you. Each visible finding includes the matched URL, relevant context, and supporting evidence snippets to help you (or whoever you work with) assess it quickly.
Operational takedown packet preparation
When you decide to act on a finding, we help assemble the pieces a takedown notice typically needs — the original and infringing URLs, timestamps, evidence, and a clear summary — into a packet you can submit through the relevant host's or platform's own reporting process.
Customer responsibility for accuracy and ownership
You're responsible for confirming that you own or are authorized to act on behalf of the content or brand in question, and that the information you provide for a takedown request is accurate. Submitting a takedown notice is a request you make — under your name and judgment — to a third party.
Not a law firm — no legal advice
DMCA WatchDog provides monitoring and operational takedown support. This is not legal advice. We are not a law firm, and nothing on this site or in our communications should be read as a legal opinion about whether specific content is infringing or how you should proceed. If you need legal advice, please consult a qualified attorney.
No guaranteed platform response
We cannot guarantee that any host, platform, search engine, or registrar will act on a takedown request, agree that content is infringing, or remove it within any particular timeframe. Those decisions belong to the third party receiving the request.
